The Ministry of Communication and Aviation (MCA), as part of its policy objective to upgrade airport facilities and infrastructure in the provinces is rehabilitating the Auki and Parasi provincial airfields. The work is being spearheaded by the Ministry through this project to improve passenger safety standards at those airports and to improve facilities in anticipation of an expected growth in air passenger numbers.
